Long term follow up
What follow up protocol is recommended for Hypospadias?
The child need to be in regular follow up after hypospadias surgery, as problems may develop later on after years. n ideal follow-up will be at 1, 3, 6 months and then yearly up to 2 years and review follow-up at puberty and mid-teens at time of pubertal spurt. It is pertinent to note that most of the complications appear within 2 years of surgery.
What investigations are needed in follow up?
The children are followed up with clinical examination, checking the stream( mobile video are handy) and sometimes need USG and uroflowmetry
